Mercedes Benz Rubber Pen

My Friend works  at a Mercedes dealership as a lead teach.
He Bought me two pens as a gift. This is one of them.
I posted about the other one already. This is a smooth pen. I like pens with caps the most and i dont like twist pens. But this pen is put together well and i like it.

Rate: So there is a twisty pen  like.
IT has great grip being rubber and all.

These markers are a must for a amateur artist. I can tell you the quality difference between these markers and others are noticed right from the very start.

These markers ARE worth the money.

These markers WILL take your art up a couple notches.

There are two ends to these markers a small end and big end. See top picture.

Im sold on these, I recommend these for sure.

Look at my drawing i made of the sexy teacher on the desk. I was excited to try my markers so I drew something really quick on sketch paper  and tryed my new expensive markers.

Look at the desk. I got in a hurry and did not make eve tones. I also did not get even tones on her hair or dress.
A little bit of this has to do with the sketch paper absorbed alot of the marker.

IF YOU USE THESE OF STANDARD SKETCH PAPER IT WILL BLEED THROUGH AND RUIN THE NEXT PIECE OF PAPER.
I still haven't tried it on cartoon paper but i will.

You can add to your collection one by one because they have like 60 colors to add at the store you can buy 1 at a time.

Mercedes Benz Carlton Pen

 A friend of mine gave me two Mercedes-Benz Pens For a present.
He is one of the lead master techs at the Mercedes-Benz Dealership in Denver CO.

The pen is Says Carlton pen on the bottom. I can not find hardly any thing at all about this pen on the internet.

This pen is a Brass pen with a carbon fiber barrel.

This pen has some weight to it that i LOVE. The top comes off and snaps with a big loud snap that I love.

The has the Mercedes-Benz Logo and name on the cap.

The clip is perfect. The barrel has a nice black square design  and this is a very very atractive pen.

It is a power pen. You could sign big deals with this pen like a champ.

It writes smooth and the free and is a pleasure.

These pens have a unfair advantage on this pen review blog. Why? Because  I have been using them for a long long time. I use these more then I use any other.

This blog mixes art and general pens. Sorry that's just the way it is.  I am a amateur manga artist. I am not very good but anime and manga has been something I have loved since 1992. It is a big part of my life.
 This pen came in a set, you can buy them one at a time or all together. But They are all so different I have to do them one at a time.

Enough of my rambles

This pen is for fine lines,  eye brows, hair, lace clothes. Any  fine lines.

I use this for back grounds alot, such as when drawing brick patterns on a building.

This pen is a must. Water Proof and fade proof.

IF ALL YOU READ  is this sentence, there are many many better drawing pens and markers out there. IF you have the money you can in vest in so really expensive stuff.   You can get a set of these with 6 other pens for $25 bucks.  I have bought some of the more expensive ones and with drawing on drawing pads and other paper there is no difference.

Rate:  A perfect pen for small line jobs
       The Ink works well on all types of paper.
       These are my favorite pens and i have used them a long time.

I bought this pen from a Grocery store called Safeway.  The back of the package says it was designed by Office max, a office store we have in Colorado.  I bought them because I have never seen them and they were on sale.

The package caught my eye from 10 feet away. Its hard not to see it, the package is attractive.

This pen is very well balanced.  If you or maybe some one you know has trouble writing try this pen.

 It is long. The long nature of this pen will really help children that have issues holding on to pens and pencils.  In grade school I had issue with certain pens and other writing tools. I understand that how hard it can be to find a pen suited for you.

You can not believe the control this pen has, when your writing you can feel that you are more steady then with other pens.

If your in collage and have lots of notes to take or you like to journal or free write you have to get this pen.

The clip is forgiving and well made. This pen has a cap and the cap snaps tight and sounds great with a strong snap. I would not worry about the cap coming off this pen in my pocket.

This pen is attractive if you are in to looks that are "Modern,Clean,Sterile, Smooth"

The negative:  I had to tighten this pen up right out of the package. That tells me that there may be issues with it coming loose while writing with it. I have not messed with it enough to know yet.

The cap does not stay very tight while placed on the back. I HATE that trait in a pen. It did not fall off but I do not need to be worrying about if it will. If I loose a cap to a pen i throw the whole pen away. Yes, I can be picky.

Also, the pen writes VERY light even with a good amount of pressure. That is good with free writing and note taking. I would not really draw any thing with this pen. Some pens are just not made for that.
That said, if I was try out a back grounds with rulers just messing around I would use this pen. This pen would work well with a ruler.

The package sold these pens to me.

This pen is 86% recycled content. "Old bottles"

 You see this pen was made out of old plastic bottles.  Now this is a great way to help nature if you care about things like that.

The pen is very different looking. I would not say it is attractive but it does catch the eye.

The grip is hard as a rock. It does have a little tack and grooves on it so the grip does serve a purpose.  I guess.

This pen has a click top. The click is firm. I love a click top pen with a nice strong click.

The clip.. I can tell is the weak point of this pen.
I have seen this before and can almost guarantee
that it will snap off because there is no spring to it
it is just  brittle and hard.

I CANT STAND clips like this. It will break off and your stuck with a broken pen.

Rate: Average cheap pen
       Recycled = Cool factor
 If your a hippie  use this pen to fill out green peace petitions. Save the world man.

This is a odd little pen.
First off this pen can be bought in different barrel colors. Blue, Pink, Green, Red, Yellow, Orange.
That is a pretty cool that you can choose your barrel color.

Second IT IS TELE-SCOPIC. Look at the first picture the it has a retractable tip, the first photo is as small as you can get the pen and still have the tip out to write.  The second picture is the pen at full lenghth.
Why?   Easy,  so you can put in in your check book or purse

 on in a planner, it does not take up any room at
all when it is at its shortest.

You wont have to worry about it getting shorter while you write, it takes quite a bit of pressure to make it smaller and writing will not do that. Now after months and months of using it? Im not sure i will do a update to see how it holds up.

When it is completely retracted the tip feels a little shaky. But That does not matter. Because you wont have a need to use it in that setting.

The Pocket clip is tight.

This pen has cool features! 
But it is just a average black ball point pen. There is nothing i would draw with this pen. This is a planner pen.

  WOW!

This is a good pen brush. I like draw manga and this pen brush has all sorts of potential. You could outline or do eyes or hair any thing.  There are lots of things one could do with this.

You can make this pen do ANY thing if you know what you are doing.  You can make hair lines, you can make 1/4 inch lines, you can have it as dark as you like with just a little pressure. 

For 9 bucks,  or 4 in my case with a coupon, you can get the pen with 4 ink refills and Pentel KN104, THAT I WILL REVIEW NEXT.

 I got mine from Michael's.  It came with the refills and the extra pen. 
 
If you dont draw or do calligraphy this pen is not for you. Though i JUST wrote a letter to my brother  with it, it is just really nice and smooth to use.

This is a no mess ink brush. IT is really attractive and has a Japanese mark on the cap, beautiful black, the clip in silver with a black inlay.

If you draw any kind of manga , or comics or anything you have to get this pen brush. Are there other pen brushes out there?  YES  and there are better ones but for the price you cant beat it.

I like this pen so much i am going to buy 3-4 more because i want to use it for ever and ever.

 There are way to many promises on this package. Like effortless writing.  This pen is a over all joy to write with.
It did not drag,  i even tried and i could not get it to drag.

This pen would be perfect for school work.

My issue with this pen, is that as well as it writes it is cheap looking. It is a cheap pen.
A little too skinny for my taste.

SO far it is the best of the cheap pens so far.


The click top works fine.

The package for this pen says that it is water proof i did not check that aspect.

This pen is firm and writes easy. IT makes quick little notes perfect. I would have this pen by the phone because it writes fast.
The pen looks nice, the cap look cheap,  i like a cap with a loud snap this has a light snap but the cap fits tight.

I love how the clip looks on the top of the cap.

On the top sides of the cap there are little marks to grip it and pull it out of say a pocket, so if you keep a pen in a pocket this might be a good pen for you!

This pen has a cap. My only issue with this pen is when you take the cap off and put it on the back it the metal clip hits the arch between the thumb and the for finger some times. The cap naturally goes down on the back to far.

The tip feels much stronger then other pen brands.  Middle of the road pen. IF the cap was nicer it would look better.

This pen glides across the paper. There is no grip.
This pen would be good for signing  and checking things.
I like pens with caps, the cap snaps great on to the pen.
I wish the front where the tips of your fingers was as big as the rest of the pen. My hands are big.   

Issue:  Lets say every 6-7 lines, it will not write, so you have to go over again some times.  It might have something to do with pressure.
 Over all the pen attractive and a nice size if you like having something decent sized in your hand to write.  Click on the picture to see pen in action

This is not a new pen. I would consider it to be a classic among cheap pens from wall-mart. I have had a million of these taken from me over the years. lol. This pen is sharp, it Would be good to so light outline work or draw grass. This would be a god pen to fill out government paperwork. Good for tight spaces. The best thing about this pen is the firm click top. The grip is hard. I have attached a picture of what it looks like.
